Function of the Membership Committee
The Membership Committee shall promote activities designed to serve needs and interests
of the Division's members, extend the national organization to states/provinces,
and facilitate the development of subdivisions on a systematic basis
- The Membership Committee shall monitor the membership rosters on a quarterly basis;
- The Committee shall follow-up on inactive members;
- The Committee shall recruit new members;
- The Committee shall facilitate the induction and orientation of new members;
- The Committee shall foster participation of members in the activities of the Division;
- The Committee shall evaluate members' satisfaction with the Division
- The Committee shall serve as the monitor of subdivision development, by receiving
and reviewing applications, receiving and verifying membership petitions, receiving
and reviewing constitutions for new subdivisions, and making recommendations to
the Executive Committee for official recognition;
- The Committee shall review periodically the constitutions of subdivisions to ensure
that they meet CEC guidelines;
- The committee shall maintain data regarding membership in the states/provisions
and communicate with CEC pertaining to membership needs;
- The Committee shall prepare reports for presentation at the meetings of the Executive
Board and General Business Meeting according to the provisions stated in Section
6 of this Article; and
- The Membership Committee shall assume responsibility for other activities pertaining
to membership, as assigned by the Executive Committee.
