TED Early Childhood Faculty SIG Field Trip to Hesse School:

Where –
The Early Childhood Faculty SIG has coordinated a site visit, with transportation provided, to the Hesse School which is a Professional Development School for Armstrong State University. Click here to view the school's website.

When – Thursday, November 9 at 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. The visit at the school is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Armstrong State University, soon to be part of the new Georgia Southern, participates in several unique partnerships with Savannah Chatham Public Schools. This diverse district includes both urban and suburban schools, many designated Title 1. Hesse K-8 School is in its second year as Armstrong's first Chatham County Professional Development school. A number of specialized programs are housed at the school including co-taught inclusive classrooms, preschool classrooms, ESOL, and separate classrooms for students with disabilities whose LRE is a separate environment. Join us and see this beautiful new facility and learn more about how this Professional Development school supports the preparation of Armstrong's teacher candidates.
