This diverse district includes both urban and suburban schools, many designated Title 1. Hesse K-8 School is in its second year as Armstrong's first Chatham County Professional Development school. A number of specialized programs are housed at the school including co-taught inclusive classrooms, preschool classrooms, ESOL, and separate classrooms for students with disabilities whose LRE is a separate environment.
